| The overarching educational objectives at GIUDA are:
- to reinforce the studies on urban development and architecture in southern Taiwan, considering future development in the country.
- to set up an interdisciplinary program emphasizing the use of sustainable planning and design methods for the century 21, which also takes into account the changes of global society and the environmental issues.
- to create a regional and international academic network relating to the sustainability of urban development and architecture, which is able to support the decision-making of national policy in Taiwan, such as the establishment of the “Green Silicon Island” or the “Asia-Pacific Regional Operations Center”.
