Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering

Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering

Department of Electrical Engineering

Introduction

The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in February 2000 as one of the first department of the College of engineering in the National University of Kaohsiung. Since the Tainan Science-Based Industrial Park (SBIP) Lujhu , Na-Shi Science-Based Industrial Park were all around this area ,it is expected to produce several times as much as Hsinchu Science-Based Industrial Park currently does. With the rapid industrial expansion, the cultivation of technology talent has become very urgent. Moreover, Kaohsiung , the most important industrial and commercial city in the southern part of Taiwan , will become a transportation center in the Asia-pacific region. For supporting the human resource demand and actively plays a key role in the development of high-technology industry in Taiwan . The graduate program is provided in2004, and the enrollment of student s will keep growing yearly.

Mission
  • To educate the students with the basic knowledge of electrical engineering, science and technology.
  • To train the students with the basic ability of performing and designing experimental projects.
  • To make the students prepared for subsequent graduate study, post-graduate study and professional practice.
  • To aid the development of engineers specialized in high-technology industry and meet the new wave of electronic information age.
